I've been in advertising for over 28 years.   I see ads both from a consumer POV and a creative strategist - but I always see them as an object of disruption.  TV, Radio, Billboards. Mobile, or Social Media, they have one purpose - to sell you something.  So why do people talk back to ads, complain that "they are selling you something" and then get angry about it?
